Stefano Zardini

The pioneer’s passion

A recognition of the inventiveness, dynamism and enthusiasm of winter sports in the early 1900s in certain areas of the Alps.

The development of tourism contributed to leading farming society towards a revolutionary change that would have changed its destiny forever. They were years of creativity and courage. Zardini used colour to reveal the heart, passion and determination of those pioneer through a highly expressive and powerful conceptual reinterpretation of period photographs from his family’s Historical Archive.
